On resolutions that don’t suck

Happy New Year!

Now…what are you going to do with it?

Yes, I know, I know… I’m late. 2016 is now 27 days old and not so sparkly any more. The thrill isn’t gone, exactly, but it’s faded a little.

And all those hopeful, shiny New Year’s Resolutions tend to start falling like dominos, right… about… now.

I know you know what I’m talkin’ about. (And you must know: I know because I’m speaking from experience.)

We all sit at the top of the new year and ask ourselves, “What should I do? How should I be? Who should I be?” And — for a few days, at least — that sense of obligation gets us going. Finally, I’m gonna do what I know I should have been doing all along!

But it doesn’t last. That initial burst of energy is, in fact, a harbinger of doom. The higher you feel, the harder you fall.

It’s easy to conclude that resolutions are crap

But I’m here (belatedly) to tell you: Failure is not predestined. Resolutions suck because we do them wrong. We do them instinctually, and follow our gut — and in this case our gut is an amateur.

The new year is an incredibly powerful time for change… if you know how to harness it it can keep you going for the next 12 months and beyond.

You really can renovate your career, your business, your life and your lifestyle.

How?

How do you set resolutions that last? How do you make the right ones? How do you stick to them? Why and how did we use the power of the new year to rework our entire business in 2015? (And launch every product I ever launched, as it turns out.)

And what does all this have to do with pants?

Yes, our podcast is back!

Thanks, in part, to all the hard work we completed as part of our New Year’s resolutions for 2015 (that’s right — last year), we’ve freed up the time and energy to podcast again.

And if that sounds like something you wish you could do yourself – freeing up time and energy to do stuff you REALLY want to do – this episode is gonna help you do it.
